Where to buy Bollywood Dvds??

Hi!
Hearing so much about Paheli, Swades, Bunty aur Babli, Yeh Lamhe Judaai Ke here in the forum let my desire grow to buy these...but on eros entertainment it's really expensive...Swades for example costs 32 EUR (~ 25 US Dollars). Okay I think the other too are not realeased yet, but Bunty aur Bably will be released this month, I think...Do you know any internet shops which deliver Overseas, to Germany? And send me an Original Bollywood Dvd and not an illegal copy? A lot of thanks ahead for any links...

While I cannot vouch for these DVDs being "original" releases, I have had very good experience buying from
www.indiaweekly.com

In my eyes they are too cheap if compare the prices to the recommendation prices.
Are they laminated, have they a 3d hologram, changes colours in the light not a cheap replication of it, just a sliver foil? Has it the same cover as Amazon shows? You can switch Subtitles off and on?
It's just I don't want to waste any money and under no condition give it to video pirates.
p.s: though thank you very much for answering me to my question

There's also dvddhamaka with reasonable prices, the dvds I've bought from them were original.
Shipment is a bit slow though

Your Credit Card transaction has been failed due to the following reason
The transaction resulted in an AVS mismatch. The address provided does not match billing address of cardholder.
But I tried it several times....and there is no SSL-"Protection".... I wanted to pay with mastercard...how did you pay?

I did pay with credit card, I had to write "exactly" the name as in my card, meaning surname and then name... maybe this could be the problem?

I hope everything will be allright, I also mailed my bank which gave me the credit card. We can only hope for the best. But I am confident that everything will be okay.
On some DVD Covers, I noticed Video Sound. Isn't this a cheap replicate of an original dvd?
I didn't order dvds shown with this cover on the site but i want to know if this is true...

I see what you mean. I attributed their "cheapness" to the fact that they likely buy these things in bulk from India (or so I hope) and the suggested retail price is for the US market and is supposed to be in keeping with regular DVD prices.
The artwork is good and the subtitles work (and can be switched off). I had a couple of experiences (I have bought a lot from them) where the box was a little bend/worn or when the circular part inside the box which holds the DVD was broken (probably during shipping) and they reimbursed me 10% of my money. That said, I honestly can't vouch for them being original copies because I simply can't tell whether they are or if they are really good quality bootleg. That said, I have bootleg copies of some Iranian films and they stink; my Hindi movies are not like that at all. They come shrink wrapped and all and the quality is great (except for my Mohabbatein DVD, but I think that was a problem with the format and I am going to try and readjust the settings; the faces were elongated for some reason).
p.s. You are welcome!

I just heard that the Bollywood piracy is booming and that little enterprises exist, their only aim to replicate Bollywood Dvds, most of the cases with the buyer not recognising the fake. But I would spent a little more money if I get better quality and I would feel miserable when recognising I've been cheated.

Okay, the money was now automatically refunded...
I have placed now an order at
www.indiaweekly.com
.
I hope I have more luck there...
I order there because erosentertainment.com is down...seems to me like a hackerattack could this be right?
Some client angry with the "customer service" there? ;-)

I'll be intersted to see how that goes. I use
www.shopping.indiatimes.com
, with free shipping inside India, and then have my cousin in Bangalore ship them on for me. If indiaweekly is good, I'll add them as well, for when indiatimes doesn't have what I'm after.

Where do you purchase your DVDs? Nehaflix VS Eros Entertainment
«
Reply #14 on:

So, I am pretty new to the whole Bollywood scene and I have ordered my movies from both companies, NehaFlix and Eros Entertainment. I have had pretty good service through both, but Eros seems to take returns/exchanges more easily. (Some of the movies I received had horrible subtitles and I was able to exchange them, where as Nehaflix said this wasnt their fault.)Â
What do you all think?Â

A friend brought from India for me, Paheli.(Eros). I was horrified to find commercials spliced within the movie. Is this a common occurence? If so it sucks..BIG TIME!!!!!

On Lucky No Time For Love there were ads for cell-phone RingTones crawling across the top of the screen.

The North America Eros release of Paheli had no commercials in it, thank God! Of course, the aspect ratio was messed up and the sound was iffy... but at least there were no ads! Are you sure it wasn't a pirate that looked like it was from Eros?

I have gotten most of mine from Nehaflix and have watched quite a few of them and I have had no problems with them. IndiaWeekly has been good too. Also the library of all places. Stay away from Ebay. I got quite a few very very cheap and they are not very good. Especially the 2 and three on a disk.

Nehaflix, Nehaflix, Nehaflix. I've had way too many problems with Eros to recommend them to anyone.

I am sure it is pirated, my Russian friend bought original Paheli DVD by Eros in India and there was no commercials of any sort.
