Is there any rule about nercroposting?

Necroposting means to post something new on an old topic. There's this topic in the Golden Oldies section, and the last post was in 2009. I want to post something and contribute to it, but is there any rule about it? Will I get banned?

Not that I'm aware of.  We revive old topics all the time, when there's something new to add.

As Ms. Chandni said, it is no problem to post in old threads, so go ahead and post, xxVijayxx.
