Admins and mods,

I'm not sure if this is a security procedure.  However, for a long time, I can only log in if I input my password twice.  

The first time I input my password, I get an error message and a new dialog box.

Then I input my password again, and I get through.

Is this normal?  If so, please ignore my post. If not, please help me correct this.

That's not normal procedure and is the type of result you'd expect if a person put in the wrong password.

Have you tried using more than one browser to access the forum, Vinita? Perhaps it could be browser related.

This happens every single time without fail.

I have only ever used Firefox to log in.  Will try Internet Explorer and report back.

ETA:  It does the same thing in Internet Explorer.

Vinita, does this happen with saved passwords or are you typing in the password each time?

If it's saved passwords, what has probably happened is there are two sets of userid/password saved, one which is incorrect and the other correct.  In Firefox, go to preferences, security, saved passwords.  Search for bollywhat and see if you have more than one entry.  If you do, show passwords and remove the incorrect one.  If you only have one, show passwords and check that it is correct.

Dil, I don't save my passwords.  I type them in each time.
