Quick somebody write a film that will necessitate both of them being cast together!

I'm thinking something like a gender-reversed take off Guddi: a small town, starstruck boy comes to Mumbai to make it as a scriptwriter and ends up becoming an entertainment journalist. Soon the glamour wears off and he understands the harsh realities of the industry- but the most heartbreaking discovery is how the brutal competition, ageism and superficiality of the industry has turned his favourite actress, a former superstar, into an insecure wreck of her former self.

Nevertheless, he falls in love with her and his belief and support helps her get back on track and she produces a movie with a script that he wrote for her, back when he was a starstruck small town boy who was smitten by her. The sceptics writer her off saying that she is too old to stage a successful come back and there is much spitefulness all around- but she triumphs in the end and the film is a huge critical and commercial success.

Our movie culminates in her receiving a best actress award at an award show where all of her naysayers are present and then performing a dance onstage that stuns them all into impressed silence. And of course Ali is looking on proudly from the first row. Cheesy Grin

Okay, somebody should come up with a much better story than that- but you get what I'm saying.  Tongue

Wow, only barely two pages for Ali Zafar? But he's sooo good looking!  Smiley

Ali's doing a movie with Siddharth <3 It's a remake of Chashme Buddoor.

 Shocked No. Way.
I'm so glad he came to Bollywood, but does anyone know if he's still going to be making music? I mean, I really love his music.  It would kind of suck if he gave it up.

According to his twitter feed he was recording a few songs for Chashme Buddoor not long ago, so he's definitely still making music. If you mean outside of filmistan, I'm sure he won't give that up either.

Nice pics btw!  Kiss

He really does!  Grin I also can't get over how well he does his Jack Sparrow impersonation. He almost has it nailed. Maybe they will get him to do the Hindi remake  Wink.

OK, prepare for blasphemy:

As of now, I feel kind of eh about Ali Zafar. In particular, I feel that his voice doesn't match his face, so it's always a bit startling to hear him speak. I think I'm getting used to it, though; he needs to come out with more movies so I can fully adjust, lol.
I have seen his Bollywood movies, but they didn't work much for me. Didn't like "MBKD" much & found is character to be an arrogant slob; the story of & the character in "London Paris New York" didn't connect with me; "Tere Bin Laden" was better, & I could see its appeal, but I don't think I was in the right mood when watching it. I think I need to get used to his acting style....Perhaps the Bollywood remake of the Tamil film, "Vettai," will change my mind about him as I really like Tamil version.

So I think the because voice thing, perhaps his acting style, & some other unknown reason, he doesn't invoke fan-girliness & doesn't seem as appealing when I see him onscreen. Also, his looks/charisma on screen don't do it for me on screen, but for some reason works off screen (at least the looks, idk about the charisma). But when I think about him in real life and his many talents & overall attractiveness, I can't help but think, omg, you're perfect! Lol.

He seems like a really mellow dude--that conclusion may be because of his deep, smooth voice, though, lol....  ^.^
