I'm thinking about starting a thread, but wanted to ask a question of folks first, so I started this thread and named it so that others who have questions could post them here.

So my question:  I'm thinking about starting a fun/games sort if thing based around the idea of "programming your own thematic mini-filmi festival"-- basically generating lists of 3-5 movies that have something in common, and you could either say what the theme is, or people try to guess.  (For instance: Maa, Haathi Mere Saathi, Murari--films where the hero is friends with an elephant.)

My two questions are:
1. what to call it? I'd like a thread title that conveys what it's about. Does "Mini-Filmi Festival Game" do that?
2. which is funner, guessing the theme, or saying what it is.
oh and #3 does anyone remember if there's a thread like this already?

i like the idea of people guessing the theme - and coming up with clever titles for each filmi festival.  I haven't seen any threads like this before.

Great idea!

I'd say, do both.  Make two threads.  One, where you have to guess the theme from the titles given.  To use your example, you would mention Maa, Haathi Mere Saathi, and Murari and the people participating would have to guess the theme of your Film Festival.

And two, where you have to come up with a list of three to five movies, based on a theme that is given.  Using you example again, you would mention "where the hero is friends with an elephant" as the theme and people would have to come up with a list of three to five movies that have that characteristic.

I think it will depend on the people, some might find one more fun than the other.  Some might enjoy both.
