Most of us have a few lying around.  Movies we bought, then heard how bad they were.  Rather than watch the usual Nagin movies this October, put in a movie which horrifies you with how bad it is.  Like MNIK or Girlfriend.

Guess I'll watch the Don remake then. Hope I can handle it. Frankly, even the soundtrack makes me cringe.

I can't say I have the problem Dil Bert outlines in the original post, in terms of buying something and THEN hearing it's bad and then balking at watching it.  If I buy it, it's either because I've seen reasonably positive reviews somewhere, or because it has someone I like ALOT (as in, enough to research the filmography heavily on blogs and this site and IMDB, and have a general idea of whether I'm looking at a fun romp, a serious art-film, or a piece of schlock).  So, basically, if I don't know what I'm getting into when I buy it, the chance of someone else's review popping up to scare me before I get a chance to watch it are pretty much nonexistent.  Tongue

But hey, maybe I'll rent one of the Dhoom movies, or K3G  Tongue

Ha! I had KANK in my possession for ages before finally biting the bullet. It was a gift at the very beginning of my foray into Bollywood and it had just come out and I hadn't discovered BWHAT yet.
I got rid of it immediately after watching, so I can't watch that one, but I wonder if I have TararumpumHuh
I also have Prince at home (via Netflix), which I'm sort of wondering about. I haven't heard a PEEP here at BWhat about it!!! Maybe it will be awesome.
Otherwise, I have lots and lots of movies to look through and consider. Nice challenge!

LOL, this is such a funny topic! And inspiring... I've already wasted the money, might as well waste my time... Grin

I have some catastrophes lying around myself. A few off the top of my head? Jeans, Mission Kashmir (bought for Bumbro Bumbro), 1942 A Love Story (bought for Ek Ladki Ko Dekha and Anil's red pajamas), Josh, Dil Hai Tumhara, Ramji Londonwaley(Sorry Madzy) and Kya Kehna (Saif/Preity/Chandrachur Singh starrer. Really. The Saif/Preity part duped me)

Now I don't want to judge... but ....  Lips Sealed

This has only happened to me once, with Tashan, which I bought, heard was bad, then rather enjoyed, so I will have to intentionally watch a bad film.  I'm contemplating watching Kaal...

Actually, there are at least 10 random Hindi dvds at my branch library that I'm terrified to watch, so maybe I'll grab one of those and see what happens.

D:< At least your library has more than 3 Hindi flicks! In San Antonio there's only OSO (which is always out), Abhimaan (a really shoddy bootlegish-looking vhs), and Monsoon Wedding...

Wait...4. There's an awful barber movie too.

At any rate, if any of you have trouble finding 'bad' movies, I've got 3 on my shelf I could send you...Parwana being one of them.

Mission Kashmir is good, so is 1942.

Go with Jeans. I want to see it again, that movie is WTF bad awesome.

I do have Barsaat in my queue...

And now Prince!

But I don't think it will work. I mean, I can watch a horr...ible movie in October, but that doesn't mean I'll find it horr...ible. As anyone who has seen my posts in the recently watched or the movies everyone hates threads knows I have NO taste. I like AMALL, NTJNH, Yakeen (with Priyanka and Arjun), and I See You. I own Yaadein. And am unhappy that it crapped out an hour in. Sad

It qualifies as pretty bad, wouldn't say horrible.   Smiley

Then I guess it's my turn to watch it, eh?  Wink I have a couple of unwatched SRK movies plus some old Aamir ones lying around so no dearth of bad movies for me, that's for sure. As the French would say I only have l'embarras de choix.  Evil

Ha ha please watch KANK! I wish I didn't watch it so early in my BW career, cause when I did, I almost turned by back on BW completely. It would have been better if I watched it when I was stronger and could take the heat  Grin It is total bakwas. Painful . Horr....ible

And for the Bollywood remake fans, there's plenty of fodder here for horr-ible films: http://www.bollywoodtrends.net/2009/04/bollywood-and-plagiarism-list-of.html

I LOVED Jeans.

But what was odd was that they meant for it to be Jeans - the way the DVD goes from page to page is the un/zipping of a denim fly.
