So 2 must be Golmaal 3, the only Bollywood trilogy I know of Tongue And since Ale is the only trance-y sounding one, it must be it...

Strange that 6 sounds so familiar to me since I never saw the movie that I now assume it's from, nor did I ever get the soundtrack... Oh but wait... a hit tamil movie... maybe I am thinking of the wrong movie...  Lips Sealed

Yep, no.2 is right.
I'm going to assume, that if it sounds familiar to you, you might have heard it from one of the threads in naach-gaana. Don't know if that helps. Undecided (Or if i even understood what you were stating.)

I'm pretty sure that #8 is from Mein Khiladi Tu Anari (because that's the only movie I know of from 1994 where the female lead has a double role), but I watched 3 songs from it on youtube and couldn't identify the bit of music.  Then my patience ran out.

Yep, it's from Mein Khiladi Tu Anari. The song was Dil Ka Darwaja. (I'll give you credit since you came the closest to solving it. Smiley)
And song 6 is Sarkay Lo Khatiya from Raja Babu, (Thought it would be an easy one Undecided).
