From that site, it says releasing June 26, 2010, but this one says earlier on May 20th.

“Gamyam” fame director Krish next movie titled “Vedam” casts Allu Arjun, Manoj Manchu and Anushka as the main leads. This movie is being produced by Prasad Devineni and Shobu Yarlagadda under the ‘Arka Mediaworks” banner. Music is provided by Keeravani. Currently, the shooting is in progress, and is being aimed to release on May 20th.

Most awaited Vedham’s wait over

The most awaited multi-starrer movie ‘Vedham’ starring Manchu Manoj and Stylish Star Allu Arjun and others will release this summer on May 20th.

Besides the two leading stars of the youth brigade of Tollywood, tall beauty Anushka, VJ turned actress Lekha Washington and Hindi actor Manoj Bajpai are acting in this movie directed by the award winning director Krish, who directed ‘Gamyam’ earlier.

With a lot of stories involved about the movie while it is being made, the producers of the movie are trying hard to release it this summer. Sources say that the movie has been made at a budget of almost Rs.17 Crores. With a super star cast, half of the money would have gone to their remuneration it self.

Though nothing has been revealed from the makers of the movie, insiders say that Allu Arjun’s character is from the slums and Manoj is a rich guy while Anushka plays a prostitute. With ‘Gamyam’ receiving appreciation, director Krish would have tried his level best to live up to the expectations.

Produced by ‘Arka Media’, the music for this highly anticipated movie is composed by M M Keeravani.

This one looks so interesting. I am yet to get my hands on Gamyam but regardless this film looks promising. Hopefully it bring multistarrers back into Telugu cinema. Also hope Anushka proves to be the biggest scene stealer, as much as I love Bunny I know that this woman has to outshine all the guys! Oh and the music is the most exciting part I think. Keervani disspaointed me in RRKK hopefully not in this one.

Great news about overseas prints being subtitled. Would be great now if they released in my city but alas that remains a dream.

Vedam-Telugu movie completes shooting
April 25, 2010 (Calcutta Tube): Shooting of a multi-starrer Telugu film, ‘Vedam’ in the combination of Allu Arjun, Manchu Manoj and Anuskha, directed by Jagarlamudi Radhakrishna @ Krish of ‘Gamyam’-fame and produced by Prasad Devineni and Shobu Yarlagadda on the banner of Arka Media Works, was completed recently.

Producers say, ‘For the first time in the history of the Telugu film industry, the film was produced with multi-dimension screenplay. Moreover, Keeravani who had completed 200 films in his musical direction had scored tunes to seven songs for the film. We will soon launch the audio. We are also making efforts to release the film on May 20.’ Director Krish says, ‘The movement of the characters would be very novel and the entire film would be very interesting.’ Manoj Bajpai, Siya Gautham, Deeksha Seth, Lekha Washington, Saranya, Brahmanandam, Posani Krishnamurali, Raghubabu, Raviprakash, Satyam Rajesh, and others are in the cast. I am looking forward to this film. I hope Anushka has a proper role rather than the prop heroines are in most Allu Arjun films. Gamyam is a film I've been wanting to see for a while now. I haven't got my hands on it yet.

^I think the confusion is that his name is really arranged as Manchu Manoj, according to this official-looking website about him: http://manchumanoj.com/.  But it's spelled differently depending on where you read about him!  But yes, we should def add Manoj Bajpai too!

I really hope the same for Anushka too!  I get the feeling that Arjun might have taken on this film in hopes to have people take him more seriously, so hopefully we'll get to see some good acting from him.  It should be a big departure from his earlier fluffy stuff, I'm hoping.  Not that I don't love the fluffy stuff too.

Wow, they're moving fast with the promotion. Until yesterday we had nothing and now there's stuff popping about it left right and centre. Ok, I'm trying to keep my expectations low, but it looks GOOOOD! Thank you for posting that! I will now go away and start praying that it gets released with subs because it seems like the kind of movie that I would get really frustrated watching without subtitles. And that's a first!

The trailer looks really intense. Though I'm not a devoted fan, I'm really curious as well to see if Arjun will pull it off. Anushka is so gorgeous.
