Hi, just wondering what is the window of time for modifying or deleting a post?

I am tending (like a total nerd) to over-edit myself sometimes so just curious. I saw a couple of other ppl randomly ask this in some separate threads so thought it might be helpful to know.

You have a 24 hour window in which to edit your posts.

As far as deleting a post goes -- if someone has replied to the topic after you've posted, you can't delete your post.  Otherwise, 24 hours.

Shucks guys, I just deleted two long posts, one from Havai's thread about Hilarious Miunderstand and one from Bollyking's Read Assignment thread. I should have just edited them down instead of deleting them. There's no way to make them magically re-appear, is there? Shucks Lol

Hi Mods and Admin, I sent a PM about this earlier today and I know you guys are really busy right now, so I thought I'd make a post about this also, just in case one of you guys logs in and sees this. Could someone change my screen name on here to "los angeles" if you have time?

I've had a bit of an online security issue in the last five days after the Facebook changes. (That would be a huge understatement Lol)

So anyway I'm trying to stop posting under my real name anywhere, just to be more safe online.

I think most everyone will know "los angeles" is still me as it's the generic name of my city, and it seems safer to post under that instead of my actual name.

Sorry to bother you guys with this request, I should have registered with a more anonymous name to begin with. But of course I'm an idiot, and didn't think of that back then when I joined the forum.

Anyways, please feel free to PM me if there's any problem with this. Thanks  Smiley

Also can the moderators go to the Film Fair section of the board and take Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's name out of the title of  Abhinay Deo's next  starring Abhishek Bachchan and Boman Irani. Aishwarya is not in the movie. The cast is Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani, Gul Panag, and Jimmy Shergill. It would be again appreciated. Smiley

Hello moderators there has been another change in cast for Abhinay Deo's next with Abhishek Bachchan. So can the can the moderators go to the Film Fair section of the board and take Gul Panag's s name out of the title of  Abhinay Deo's next  starring Abhishek Bachchan and Boman Irani. Gul  is not in the movie. The principle cast is Abhishek Bachchan, Kangna Ranaut, Sarah Jane Dias, Boman Irani, and Jimmy Shergill. It would be again appreciated. Smiley

IMO, the topic line is okay as it is - with the title, director and main star included, so everyone will know which film it is about.
A topic title does not have to list the whole cast, just enough information for the film to be easily identified. i.e., not to be confused with others of the same title.

BTW, you kept us mods quite busy lately, with changes in Film Fair topic titles because of changes in the cast of planned films. This could be avoided by not listing a cast in topic titles, if this cast has not been finalized.

Suggest modifying the Kandasamy thread title to correct the release year (2009).  Also, a different title spelling, Kanthaswamy, could be useful for in terms of searching.  Dunno.
