Anybody catch Roma's last name in Don 2?  I think she said, "I'm Roma Bhagat." when she introduced herself at the charity thing in honor of Diwan.

I feel I would have liked this a lot more had I not just seen Mission Impossible. MI was such a perfect example of an action/heist movie, and Don kept falling short. Comparing the low-tech, barely-explained way Don escaped prison to Tom Cruise's escape was just sad!!

I didn't pay much attention to the first Don, and that too LONG ago, which might have inhibited much of my enjoyment...

I loved seeing Hrithik and Kunal, much as the latter's character was confused. As to the Roma/Don sexual tension/love in the second half, I kept thinking how much cooler it could have been if Hrithik and Priyanka did a really sexy dance at that charity ball - even take advantage of Hrithik being fine with onscreen kisses whereas SRK is not? - and then the angle in the second half is more explained...

I just felt like this movie could have been so much more fun and snappy than it was. Poor Priyanka's dialogue when she's meant to be on the hunt for Don! 'They were spotted in Singapore!' Um why has nobody followed that up? 'Gee Roma, maybe you could find a witness!' 'Oh wow, hadn't thought of that! Cool idea!'. I preferred Kangana as a similar character in Game.

The non-Indianness didn't really bother me in itself, except for begging the question, why bother? Mission Impossible was dubbed in Hindi and had a star in the form of Anil, and was better...I don't really see why a Don is needed in India when you have that. A Dabangg or a Wanted, sure I do, but not really Don 2.

Interesting to be reading all these opinions on the film. I personally was more wooed by the first Don by Akhtar but Italian critic Diana feels that this is a great SRK movie. I also see the Don concept as a Desi Bond and Diana's description also confirms this statement  Her review is here http://bit.ly/SRK-Don2

That's a fangirl, not a critic, LOL! She was fun reading, though.  Smiley

Don 2 - downloadable Berlin tourist map - how cool is that !

Apparently it is possible for tourists to experience SRK's base jump for themselves.
