The problems we've been experiencing this week are due to another VPS being hacked on our server.  The VPS should have been rebuilt by now, so we should not experience further trouble.

If we do, it's important to let me know so I can give the info to the host, who obviously is concerned with securing his server!

My apologies for all the inconvenience.  I was first told that we were outstripping our resources.  I was very glad to find out that this wasn't the case!

Every so often, I have problems with the "Show unread posts since last visit" link and subsequently viewing pages.  Then the problem goes away.  Then it comes back.  Most recently it hit earlier today.

The forum was verrrrrry slow for me some time this morning around 10:30 CEST.

But now all is well. Most of the time it's much better now compared to a week or two ago...

So when I'm looking at specific threads that have a lot of screen caps, for example, the thread about endorsed products in movies...I can see most of the pictures, but sometimes, in place of the picture is just a blue box with a white question mark on it. How come I can only see certain pictures? Is there a certain thing that I need to download, for example, Shockwave or something of that sort? It also happens when I'm looking at a user's profile. Their avatar is the same question mark. Anything I can do?  Huh

Crazy4sportz, I don't think there is much you can do.  When the photo is no longer showing, it means that the website hosting the file has removed it or the URL has been changed; it's not actually a problem with your computer or its software.  These types of threads are more time specific as a result.

I've had several smaller problems accessing the page lately, but usually it worked when I tried half an hour later..

But for about three days I get the following error when I try to search something:

"Please try again. If you come back to this error screen, report the error to an administrator."

Is anyone else having this problem? No matter what term or sub-forum I chose I end up with this message at the end!

I had massive problems today, got only "Server not found" errors for several hours. Later (about one hour ago) I could see the main page and log in, but neither a subforum nor the PM page would load.

I don't know if it was connected with today's problems, but the server was slow and the forum sometimes inaccessible for me several times during the last week or so.

Anything wrong, or is it just my connection that's going haywire?

Couldn't see forum all day.

Also reading others I realize - same problem with some pictures - there are always some I can't see, or I can see them on one computer and not on another.
