Maybe this is totally silly, but I had the idea of making a thread of screencaps with the different and often really random instruments that the stars get to play.

I'll start, sorry but only SRK so far... Please contribute!  Smiley

a very big drum in Koyla...

Darshana: I forgot Jewel Thief last night when I made screencaps. Thanks!

Sorry for the bad quality, here goes another one with SRK:

From Main Hoon Na.

This is a cool thread! ^_^

Hrithik Roshan - Lord of the Completely Random Mid-Song Guitar Solo:

Kaho Naa...Pyaar Hai -

Also to be spotted in K3G, and Mujhse Dosti Karoge

Supposedly he has his grandfather's ability to learn music and instruments by ear, so perhaps it's not a COMPLETE stretch(That extra thumb would make a difference, however, one would think... Cheesy)...

That's a harmonium-  I think there's more about it in the "Favorite Qawaalis' thread.

This is a hilarious topic! When I saw the DDLJ posts, I immediately thought of Dhai Akshar Prem Ke, in which Abhishek carries around a weird shrunken Guitar thing. He "plays" it in just one song,  Yeh Sama.

Why does he always have it with him? Because SRK carried that mandolin around all over DDLJ- I'm convinced that everything in DAPK can be explained by DDLJ!

I can't make screencaps, and I would hate to ask anyone to watch that movie, so here's a poster featuring the thing:

C_R: here's a rather crappy screencap directly from YouTube:

And LOL! I had totally forgotten Hrithik from K3G... but I never payed much attention to that song.
Here he is:

...along with some other guys.

Shabo playing a tanpura, I think it's called - the drone instrument that singers use - in Sparsh.  Not the best screencap.
