Do you like Ishq Vishk? Hum Dum? and a string of other teeny bopper bollywood movies...

It seems pretty sweet and innocent enough for a timepass watch...

This movie came out in June and at the time seemed to get pretty positive reviews considering its same old stuff kind of storyline...I won't provide the storyline here because i haven't seen it and the movie preview provided on indiafm gives away alot of the movie.

-----

It is on dvd now.  Has anyone seen it? I noticed Ishiqa you put Mp3 as one of your favourite songs at the moment - have you seen the film itself?

i saw it and found it surprisingly adorable, its a love story with two young people, school age, so no ddlj but still cute, the actor and actress are both very convincing and easy on the eyes, it was a very sweet movie on falling in love and it wasn't stretched for very long or anything. It takes place in India and Paris and is very aesthetically appealing.

I agree with princess. This movie was so adorable and sweet (not too sweet though). It was unassuming because it didn't have a known cast. I'd recommend it if you liked Ishq Vishq but want a more down to earth approach. There's not much glamour and is toned down in star power.

The leads do well together and will leave a smile on your face.

I've just started watching this film on YouTube and am enjoying it so far. The bit where Rohan is dancing on his bed to hip hop in his underpants and Ayesha catching him is very funny.

I've just finished watching this film and thought it was very sweet and endearing. Ruslaan is a cutie, let's hope we'll see him in a lot more films in future. I especially liked the ending

Could anyone please tell me when this film will be out to buy in the UK as I want to add it to my collection?

I watched this film because I finally found out who this hottie I've been looking for in the past 2 years was!!  He was in this music video and I was asking everyone I could think of who he was and no one knew who he was.  My vid has gotten taken off of YouTube but I'll reupload it back up!  It is the remix of Aap Jaisa Koi.  No it's not those remixes by Dj Doll.  I just searched YouTube.  There's two different remixes on YouTube too.  The vid I'm taking about is three girls across the street in love with one guy (Ruslaan) and images being with him!  Later to find out he has a girlfriend.

Anyways, back to the movie...I'm in love!!  He's so hot!  Kiss

I think he does a great job in the movie.  One of my guilty pleasure is watching these teeny bopper movies.  Love it!  Hazel reminds me so much of Yana Gupta http://www.yanagupta.net/blog/blog-images/yana.jpg - however, I think Yana is prettier.  I wasn't impressed with Hazel too much.  It could be the accent.  I do think she's cute but my first impressions of her from this movie, I didn't like too much.

What I love about this movie is how his friends were always there for him and their friendship bond.  I rarely see this in Hindi films.  I can only think of a few films when this happens.  I also love the fact that no elders were the obstacle of their love.  This movie is some shades of South Korean films of how the story is being told and for it dealing with just the couple's relationships.

It's not the best film but very enjoyable. I find it much better than Ishq Vishk.  I haven't seen Hum Dum yet.

PS - wanted to add that I LOOOOVE the music.  Very modern and I love it.  Again, reminds me of South Korean music/influences.

I thought the music was good also, especially the first song by Shaan and the title track.

I still havn't seen Mp3 yet but just watched the chori chori song posted by Nicki. It seems to be like a typical south-indian(tamil) movie of the 90s where the hero's group of friends are a major part of the move and assisting him with his love-life. The couple share chemistry and are really cute in the songs. I have not seen any of the hindi teen movies but might give one a shot depending on the storyline. Could someone please spoil it for me, is there any twist?

Wow, you still haven't seen it?  I don't see that many Hindi films where the hero's group of friends help him out with his love.  If there are some, I would like to know.  The only one I can remember is old 80s movie called Lovers with Kumar Gaurav and Padmini Kolhapure but the movie is about different religions, the hero teasing the girl, not college atmosphere and it's more emotional than MP3.

I've just bought this film and started wtaching it again and I must say that the song Chori Chori with Ruslaan's mates teasing him is hilarious and very typical behaviour of young men. Thank you ApunBindaas for the music video. Ruslaan sure is looking hot!  Wink

I hadn't heard anything about this movie when I saw it, and I was expecting it to be kind of stupid and maybe even annoying... but I rented it because the woman at the Hindi DVD store said people had liked it so far.

I was so pleasantly surprised when I watched it! It was much funnier than I expected it would be.  I loved the interaction between Ruslaan and his friends, it was so funny and natural. Sure, the movie had its cheesy parts, but if it didn't, I probably wouldn't have liked it so much.  Tongue  I thought it was adorable, charming, funny, and entertaining.

It completely killed me though, when he'd say certain significant things and the song would start in the background, "I just said jo mere dil mein tha..." OMG I was dying laughing! What absolutely classic cheesiness.

Some screencaps:

^ One of my favourite parts. When they first meet he tells her to 'open' her hair and then steals her elastic. So cute!

^ I liked this shot of Hazel/Ayesha reflected in a mirror in Ruslaan/Rohan's house

^ And then she catches him dancing in his bedroom. Hee!

^ Another favourite part - Rohan's funny friends

^ Almost kiss

i watched this movie yesterday and found it extremely entertaining and cute.
not a masterpiece, but a really nice teen movie. and im 35, and still enjoyed it.
rohans friends are super funny, ruslaan mumtaz is very expressive and eye candy, hazel is very sweet.
dissappointment: i would have liked a sub plot involving sheikh and mrs. saxena.
