I got an issue of Filmfare with one of my Nehaflix orders - it was the one with the lists of the most powerful people in the industry. I know I overpaid, not because I was disappointed, but because $6 for a magazine?

I don't read any of them but I look at the pictures (ridiculous I know) and there are some issues with such gorgeous production stills and photos from various movies. I'd like those just to have the pictures; I'm going to check a couple Indian shops and see if I can get a few tomorrow, actually.

Anybody know of a site that accepts Filmfare subscriptions outside India/US?

Indiatimes' service is terrible. They still owe me about 5 issues, and nobody replies my emails... Definitely not renewing my subscription with them.

Is depend where you live.... Smiley If there is a "Little India" area in your town or city, you can pretty much pick up filmi magazines there; if not, it's a bit more tricky...

Yikes! It's time for the annual renewal of my Filmfare subscription & Indiatimes wants $117 to ship to the US!! Shocked
That works out to $4.87 per issue. Kinda steep. I notice that Nehaflix doesn't offer Filmfare subscriptions anymore, but they were way overpriced anyway. What to do...? Anyone know of a good deal?

I see Filmfare and Stardust and Cineblitz in the shops every time I go to Little India, but I've never purchased one. I feel like all the articles and photos end up online anyway, or on here at Bollywhat, along with commentary from various posters.
However, I would consider buying a mag if it had a photo-spread that was really amazing with traditional dance costumes where I wanted to cut the pictures out and paste them on my wall (I'm going to be 37 in June but I still put up movie pics like that for myself on cork boards and stuff as if I'm in high school Tongue Grin]

I now subscribe to Filmfare through an online magazine shop -- Zinio.  No more waiting for the mail/post; no shopping in stores and being disappointed.  Now I just get a notification to my email that my magazine is available for reading...Smiley
This month -- Feb 29th 2012 there is the most hilarious picture of Aamir and Ranbir on page 15.  Oh Filmfare I LOVE you.  Endless entertainment both intentional and unintentional. Smiley

I had Filmfare for awhile and enjoyed it for awhile. I paid for a three year subscription and then they went to every two weeks and ended my subscription at a year later when they deemed I had gotten enough magazines out of them. So no, I will never subscribe to them again.

I did enjoy it when it was once a month. Every two weeks was too much. They just seemed to repeat things and I then I kept getting disgusted with the guy at the back of the magazines who answered questions and seemed to hate his wife.

Thanks for posting this. I'm one of those who stopped buying Filmfare when it became fortnightly, but the Zinio price for year's subscription is quite reasonable and I'm tempted to start reading again...

Unlike Playboy  Wink, I read Filmfare for the pictures, not so much the articles and the picture on page 15 of my digital copy for this month 29th Feb  (aamir and ranbir) is so hilarious to me that the entire subscription has suddenly become worthwhile!

oh and may I mention the Filmfare Shah Rukh Khan Special Edition 2012.  The best value from $2.99 that I ever got (since penny nestles -- only older South Africans will understand that allusion). I'm still positively floating on air after my first go through of the mag! SRK looks GREAT on Ipad! Smiley
