Deewani Aurat, you're star - that was it! And thank you to everybody else for making a try despite my sorry descriptions (probably more oh-oh-ohs than ah-aahs Wink ) and faulty memory Smiley

the wonderfully catchy 'ek do tiin aaja mausam hai ra.ngiin' from Awara reminds me of another song, i think a western one. Anyone know it?

It definitely reminded me of a song I used to sing as a kid (oddly enough) that went a little something like this: "There's a place called France, where the naked ladies dance. There's a hole in the wall, where the men can see it all." Quite scandalous for a kid to go around singing, now that I think about it. Wink Here's some more info on the infamous tune.

I have this song, I know I do. And I think it's Hindi and recent (last ten years or so).

But all I remember of it is the beginning - a male voice saying "Hey Salla"

Help!

ETA: Nevermind. It took asking the question to bring the song to mind - Roobaroo from RDB, which I watched Sunday, explaining why it was in my brain.

This is about a tamil song.

There's a song about all the actresses.  In the vid, the leads are I think shooting for a film, and the girl gets an attitude. So the dude says, who do you think you are, Aishwarya, etc etc.  And goes on the sing about basically all the main actresses of the late nineties and early 2000s, and he and his troup go about dancing in the streets and annoying the girl.

I'm sure someone knows what I am talking about.

ETA: found it.  He starts off with Jyothika and Bhoomika, after she asks if he's Sharukh Khan.

And it's the guy who starts with the attitude.  Grin

Help!

I don't know how this ended up in my favorites, but I am in love with this song.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hSODKfUUMog

I think it's a Bhojpuri film song, so I was going to harass Darshana for awhile, but decided against that.

It says the movie is "Humra Sasura bada paisa wala," but I haven't gotten anywhere with that, like finding out what the song title is. I think the movie title may just Humra Sasura.

There's this song playing in the background in the film Just Married when Esha is at the reception in their honeymoon lodge, about being anxious or something. It sounds like an oldie

Here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HI-CVqi1lo8&feature=related#t=3m11s

Anyone know what it is? It's sort of stuck in my head and I couldn't pick up enough consecutive words to google it!

Does anyone know the first song in this countdown? It's a Telugu song. The heroine looks like Trisha, but I've youtubed several recent songs and can't figure out what it is. Thanks!

Apparently it's 'Rathrunaku' from Sarvam starring Trisha and Arya (full video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xs94AZx0pXs)

It's the Telugu dub of a Tamil film, Sarvam. The two scenes are from two songs, Kaatrukullai and Neethane that idli_lover mentioned.

Sorry, I made a mistake: Neethane is from the Tamil version and Rathrunaku is the same song in Telugu. Corrected it in my original post Smiley

Can you make out the ending credits?  I can't on my laptop, but if someone is using a bigger screen, it might be possible. Though it wouldn't be a definite that the song is listed, but still worth a try.

From Main aurr Mrs Khanna

Question - what was the song that Sohail sang with Kareena when she was drunk and then sung again when meeting Raina2?

It had a bit of back of forth - well the woman said "Aur?" and he continued - that's how he knew he had a future with Raina2.

Thank you so much dhiire jalna! I was going to just guess with the song titles from the movies, but you've saved me a lot of time.

Thanks!

My friend serenaded me today with a Bollywood song I didn't know, and now he won't tell me where it's from.   Grin  (I suspect he just doesn't remember.)

The lyrics are about a woman, whose eyes are beautiful; she hides her face in her aanchal; then something like "if you could only see her from my perspective, my friend, you would see her before you."  The delivery is pretty quick, with a kind of '90s filmi feel, and there's a refrain of "hai hai!" (which doesn't help me a bit).

Extensive youtube searching has yielded no results.  And I really LIKED the song... so any help you can provide would be much appreciated!

Hi guys! This is gonna be hard, but I heard it in a taxi and it's driving me mad. I am pretty sure I have seen it in a fairly recent film. Its got a kind of fast, western drum beat, but light drums not the kind of heavy ones - don't remember any other instruments. On top of that there's a rather repetitive line in a male voice that's sung quite long over the beat - they sort of clash. The main chorus is a sentence that is constructed like [da da da da da da da] toh[da da da da daa daa], but I think the words change. The last word of the chorus may have been sargam or sangam. They sort of repeat this line over and over again...it's a sad song - like something has happened and now it's all crap, but not particularly slow...

Sorry if this is a bit impossible!
