He seems like more of an "enforcer" or "hired sword" rather than what I would call a "warrior," but Irfan Khan is compelling as the main character of the film, a man who wants to give up his violent career and lead a peaceful life in his home village.  Of course his simple quest turns complicated.  A quiet, slow-paced, little-dialogue, big-concept movie.  The cinematography and scenery are stunning and there are some mystical goosebump moments.

I love this hat.  I'm going to try to talk my daughter into crafting me one -- I think it's felt:

What can I say, Irfan has a great face, with or without the hat:

And I like his friends too:

"Should we pillage first, or plunder?"
"Your call."

There are women and girls too:

And a very cool mountain village:

I saw this the other day, and I really liked it. The story had an east Asian feel to it (in the special features, the co-writer said it was inspired by a tale about a samurai). Irfan was great, as is to be expected, but the mostly non-professional supporting cast was very good too.

I'm a fan of this film.  It was really beautiful to look at and I liked Irrfan as Lacfadia.

I'm surprised it didn't make more of an impression.  You should have a look, it might surprise you.
