Do you have actors whom you like to gaze at, and yet no one else has started a whole stargazing thread about them yet? I like to champion actors who light up the silver screen but haven't yet gotten their due, so here go a few of my choices:
Arshad Varsi - liked him best in Munnabhai MBBS.
Neha Dubey + Parvin Dabas -thought they were both outstanding in in Monsoon Wedding. Neha is Lilette's daugher, I think.
Nandana Sen - perfect beauty, IMHO
Rajpal Yadav - comic timing and pathos all in one
Kay Kay Menon
Randeep Hooda - very charming in person, hope he goes far!!
Simone Singh - lovely in Sur
Tara Sharma - first noticed her in Page 3
Perizaad Zorabian
Okay, that's enough for now. Looking forward to seeing more...

Okay, here are three more.
Jimmy Shergill (awesome in Yahaan)
Hrishitaa Bhatt (the daughter in Ankahee, the friend's wife in Kisna)
And introducing Sammir Dattani (Corporate)

I liked Kay Kay Menon already (im still waiting for him to hit it big aswell)...just wondering what Randeep Hooda has been in? I'm pretty sure i would remember him if i saw him in something
Also wanted to say Rajpal Yadav is one of the few great comedians in the younger age bracket of comedy actors. He's always fascinating to watch.

Hi, D_W -- and I'm still waiting to get "Corporate" on DVD, so I can see Kay Kay and Bipahsa WITH subtitles.
Perhap this would have been his biggest star vehicle, after Sarkar.
Randeep plays the cute Australian nephew who made out with Neha Dubey on the carpet in "Monsoon Wedding." He's also the star of RGV's "D."
What makes Rajpal so brilliant is he always has a dark side to counter the lightness -- he's not just wacky.

Divya Dutta. I think she fit so perfectly in Veer Zaara as Shabo. Her filmography is quite bulky, I can't believe I hadn't noticed her before. IMDB lists her as part of the cast for Umrao Jaan. I can't wait!
ETA: She has such a beautiful round face.

Oh, so she was also in Sur, along with Simone Singh. Everyone was beautiful in that, including the two stars. She played the young singer's older sister. She and Simone could play believable sisters, too.

I love Rajpal Yadav.
Isn't Randeep a present or recent boyfriend of Sushmita?

Recent -- unfortunately, for him, their relationship is past-tense. Sush has some new arm-candy, according to Filmfare.

Yes, I'd have to see Ankahee again to figure out which one Vikas was too. I'll notice him for sure from now on.
We saw A Good Year at the Toronto Film Festival, directed by Ridley Scott and starring Russell Crowe. Russell's assistant in the English location was played by Archie Panjabi. When I looked on IMDB, it turns out that she also played the sister Pinky in Bend it Like Beckham and Meenah in East is East. Archie looks very different with her perky bob haircut for this new movie. All of the actors looked lovely in it, but it was a very mild movie. She was one of the best things about A Good Year.

Last night I saw Pyaar Mein Twist, which I DVR-ed from Zee-TV. Of course Dimple and Rishi were very charming and the whole reason to watch this film. However it's important to note that, apropos of this thread, PMT also contains two of my "wonders."
Sammir Dattani played Dimple's daughter's fiancee. He is sweet, VERY cute, believable -- he just carried everything off so well. It's a bigger role than he had in Corporate. I really hope we see a lot more of him.
Vikas Bhalla --- well, er, this would have been a better movie if his part wasn't in it. OMG, when he cried, there were too many emotions running across his face. Let's hope he saw this and got some acting coaching. He's so cute and perky on Bollywood This Week.
Oh, and a bit of trivia -- the blond in the first song is Emma Bunton, former Spice Girl.

Here are some actors I've been appreciating for their grace and skill...
Lillette Dubey -- she's been in half the movies out there, and she's a real chameleon...
Soni Razdan - the wife of the really bad guy in Page 3, Preity's mom in Jaan-E-Mann, director of Nazar
And is there a thread for Jaya yet? If not, she certainly deserves one!

Having just seen Kalyug, I was impressed with such a decent movie that has only new actors. Well, Kunal Khemu was a child actor, but this is his first as a grownup. His second is Traffic Light, which came out a couple of weeks ago. He already has his
own thread
, deservedly so.
This pic is from
Kunal's fan site
. Woo!
Here are the two stunning women who also starred in Kalyug:
The lovely Smiley Suri
(who turns out to be the director's sister and Pooja Bhatt's niece)
... and Deepal Shaw (shown to Sushmita Sen's left/our right)

I second that Sanjay Suri thought!!! I loved him My Brother Nikhil. Purab Kohli, who played his boyfriend in that movie, also is very sweet:
What has Himanshu Malik done?

Hmm, these are all movies I haven't scene. Is Rakht the movie in which Abhi picturizes One Love like he's in a boy band? The first time I saw this song, I didn't realize it was Abhi.
Now, for Rohit Roy, I've only seen him hosting Sa Re Ga Ma Pa when Shaan was off doing his concert tour last year. Does he play a funny guy most of the time?

Hmm, I don't know. I saw him in Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena. He's mostly a TV actor. I don't particularly like him (or Himanshu, or Milind, or Kushal...!) I just think they are hotties! lol
