I could imagine myself performing Raat Ka Nasha Abhi in Kareena's place because when I watched it (along with millions out there) i felt i understood her emotions completely and the essence of the sequence is something that is so easy to capture. The expressions are really what's important. Also the song has vocals which would be easy to mime to.

Another sequence I could imagine myself performing is Bindaas from Paisa Vasool because it's just too cool, na! I would take Sushmita's place because she is just so alive and vivacious! That dance solo on the bar is too believable in my case  Tongue  Wink! Also there is no strenuous routine, well at least it didn't look like it! Looked like Sushmita walked onto the set, they played the track, and she enjoyed it!

well, I don't know emotion-wise, but I know I could dance Bole Chudiyan the way it is onscreen, mainly because I'm being taught that right now, in my BW dancing class, by an ex-Shiamak Davar troupe member, so yeah I can see myself doing that Grin

Well I would love to do Madhuri's part in the Dola Re Dola song in Devdas. I love the flow of the song and the clothes worn. I definitely could see myself dancing that. Now if only I could find someone to teach me!

This is funny because I actually did perform Aaja Saajan Aaja from Khal Nayak--WITH the lip syncing. It wasn't exactly like the movie (there are some parts without dance steps), but what I could use I imitated. Too bad I don't LOOK like Madhuri, though!  Wink

Silly 90es dances. I'm very ironic in my dance style, so that would work great! I love to do those spastic pop dance moves they did in those years! hehehe

I could see myself doing Yeh Tara Voh Tara from Swades,..... because I actually did. I "performed" it in a talent show for this club that watched it earlier. Just the beginning part, though, when he's in front of the screen. I know its not much dancing, but that made it really easy.

Very nice thread pctussigreatho Smiley

I can imagine myself dancing in all item numbers of ‘Daud’ in place of Sanjay Dutt and those of ‘Deewane’ in place of Ajay.
The first reason has to do with my limited dancing skills and the second one with the fact that Urmila would be my dance partner.

For purely scientific reasons you understand I would be prepared, if forced under duress, to play a part in the Babuji Zara item number where the guy pours wine down Yana Gupta's leg. It would be partly an analytical exercise to study fluid dynamics over a low viscosity surface of irregular shape.

And every time I see Rajpal Yadav looking a bit light headed when he sees Ishaa in the Khallas item number I see myself in that role too.

I bet the Hai Re and Tere Binna picturisations from Khushi were a blast to do aswell.

This is completely embarassing, but every time I listen to "Hamko Tumse" from Amar Akbar Anthony I find myself compelled to drop to one knee, hold out my hand pleadingly, and start belting out all the male parts.  So while my mind apparently wishes I could shake my moneymaker a la Madhuri in "Choli ke peeche," my heart apparently thinks I'm more of the Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor showman ilk!

Dekh ke tumko, dil Dolaa hai
God promise, ham sach bolaa hai
O hamko tumse ho gayaa hai pyaar kyaa kare.n
bolo to jie.n bolo to mar jaae.n
hamko tumse ho gayaa hai pyaar kyaa kare.n!

You don't need physics as a cover-up to your obsession!  Wink Tongue

Speaking of BW song sequences...I already regularly perform "Aur Kiya" (PBDHH) whenever I'm in an elevator by myself. (This dance is just so much fun to do!) I also do a little "Tu Jheez Badi Hai Mast Mast" (Mohra) after I get a good haircut and I'm checking it out in the mirror. (Hey, who wouldn't enjoy thrusting their hips at their reflection?) Any I've practically memorized the entire Kajra Re music video forwards and backwards just in case there's a performance somewhere in the world and one of the background dancers (or even Abhishek) falls ill, I'll be ready!

My twelve-year-old cousin has also picked up the tendency to lift the front of his shirt and pull it over his head so it covers his face and then walk around side to side singing "Main to Hoon Pagal" (Badshaah) whenever he's bored.

I can see myself performing Aye Udi Udi from Saathiya because it's all about relaxing and being comfortable, which sounds like a great release right now!

I could see myself doing It's the Time To Disco, Maahi Ve, and Pretty Women and Kal Ho Naa Ho. I can't really explain it's sort of hard to.

I can't see myself performing any BW song.... I'm a really, really bad dancer.  I wish I could do some movements, but I'm too stiff and uncoordinated.

Saaki Saaki from Musafir - that's the new one I'm learning, which started last week. New instructor, but DAMN sexy choreography, almost more than the original.

Hmmm, one of those exuberant Saroj Khan-choreographed Madhuri numbers from the 90s - Ek, Do, Teen, Mera Piya Ghar Aaya or Channe Ke Khen Main - they just look like so much fun!  And of course as an added bonus, fantastic glitzy costumes with side ponytail....

I'd also love to have a shot at one of Rekha's mujra items from Umrao Jaan!

Finally, in the spirit of some previous posts, I have been known to bounce around the room with my bathtowel a la Kajol in DDLJ's Mere Khwabon Mein - it's a good way to start the day!

Great topic. I will choose Mehndi Hai Ruchne Waali for now and come back with more ideas later.
I find myself preferring slower songs to dance to these days than before (easier on my re-injured knee, haha Tongue)

Haha, Nakka Mukka would be amazing - matches my energy and rhythmic timing pretty well; all those Southie/ Bhojpuri/ Marathi beats get me in a big way!
