In fact SRK and me were thinking of making this a Main Hoon Na sequel and have a character called Major Ram Sharma...but there's no place for others. So we chucked the plan.

Ahh, Farah, don't torment me this way! Major Ram is one of my all time favorite SRK incarnations. I'd love to see a sequel to MHN! In fact, I'd really prefer that to a Don sequel.

I'm not sure about hits physically grueling 8-pack business, though. Sounds like an invitation for another serious injury. Once you pass 40 you don't heal as quickly.

Mumbai: If Aamir Khan can do it, so can Shah Rukh Khan. It's the battle of the abs in Tinseltown as King Khan has geared up to push his body to the edge and develop an eight pack for director/choreographer Farah Khan's forthcoming movie Happy New Year in which he plays a person who is forced to become a dancer.

Is that even possible?  Is he trying to be an arthropod or something?

I read this and than saying Aamir bested SRK by developing and eight-pack for Ghajini.  I didn't see it though.  And as to anatomy I have no idea at all!!

I think this story is totally bogus, Farah is just hyping the movie and being cute with the media. SRK has put on hold his shooting for other projects because of the shoulder injury and I don't think he would jeopardize his health for a freaky-looking 8-pack.

It seems you have to go through either working out exteremely like Aamir in order to achieve the bulk or starving yourself like SRK to show the 6 pack. Aamir over did it, I think he looked too bulky for his frame IMO and SRK lost all the fat off his face, which I hate. There must be a medium no?  Working out is good for his health anyway so as long as he does it while nourishing himself properly there shouldn't be a problem.

The film is going on floors mid 2012, the cast hasn't been finalised yet. Apparently Farah is going to make a very macho film that 'Michael Bay will be proud of'. (or at least that is what she told Anupama Chopra).

Also, rumour has it that Salman Khan is going to be the leading man.

That relationship is something like a broken vase that's been mended. I guess the crack still shows. But who knows? Maybe another movie together is just what they need to get the old vibe going. I have a feeling that's entirely possible (given that it also makes great commercial sense!) but the Shirish factor may just stop Farah from going ahead.

I don't think it was mended it all... In fact, I was a bit disgusted at the way it was supposedly mended. SRK "forgiving" Farah only after her movie nearly flopped and she was sufficiently humiliated? I dunno, it just looked really bad to me...

Now that Shah Rukh Khan and Farah Khan are buddies again, it comes as no surprise that the choreographer-turned-filmmaker will soon move into the former’s spanking new office space in Khar.

The two fell out over Tees Maar Khan and then Farah’s hubby Shirish Kunder and SRK had a full-blown jhagda at Sanjay Dutt’s party in January. But post that, Farah and SRK met up to sort out the issue. Then came the news that the two buddies were going to work together on Happy New Year.

The buzz is that Shah Rukh is taking their friendship to another level, by asking Farah to move into his new office building in the Mumbai suburbs to start work on their film. Our source confirms, “Yes, Farah has been asked to move into the office. The actual move hasn’t happened yet. An entire floor has been set aside in the building just for Happy New Year.”

The source also adds, “When Shah Rukh had started work on the building, he had reserved a big office space just for Farah.”

Abhishek Bachchan’s double whammy in 2013

Quietly, Abhishek Bachchan has slithered forward to a place under the sun. Rohit Shetty’s Bol Bachchan got the underrated actor a renewed box office endorsement. After saying no to a slew of almost-accepted offers Abhishek has finally given his nod to two major projects this year.

The first of these is Farah Khan’s Happy New Year which Abhishek starts shooting in the first quarter of the year. Abhishek would be sharing the marquee in Farah’s film with Shah Rukh Khan. The two were supposed to come together in Farah Khan’s directorial debut Main Hoon Na. Abhishek was supposed to play the role that eventually went to Zayed Khan.

Now in Happy New Year SRK and Junior AB are being cast in parallel parts. Farah would be Abhishek’s second woman director after Revathi in Phir Milenge, not counting the cameo as himself in Zoya Akhtar’s Luck By Chance and Farah Khan’s Om Shanti Om.

In the second-half of 2013 Abhishek goes into Oh My God director Umesh Shukla’s film. A solo-hero project with a serious social issue underlining the humour,the two have zeroed in on a script that Shukla describes as a “social comedy.”

Elaborating on the project Shukla says, “This time it’s not based on a play or any other external source. It is an original script.It’s the story of a son and his relationship with his parents. I can’t reveal too much at the moment. But like my OMG it will address an important social issue in an engaging humorous mood.”

Shukla says he is the process of writing his social comedy for Abhishek. “There’s time yet. Abhishek will first go into Happy New Year . I will lock in his dates after he returns from New York. I narrated the idea to Abhishek before he left. He liked it.So we’re going ahead with it.”

Not sure where the pinkvilla commenters are getting the idea that Farah is looking for an actress from the over-thirty set, but it would be a nice change if true.
