I don't know wether other people would be curious to see what the people behind the camera look like, but I thought I'd start this thread anyway.
Post pictures, make requests, some behind the scenes pictures might be nice too. I'll start the ball rolling real easy with one of my favorites:

MANI RATNAM

Hindi filmi viewers will be familiar with his Roja, Bombay, Dil Se and Yuva.

And a few of the classic directors:

My favorite, Guru Dutt (Aar Paar, Pyaasa, Kaghaaz Ke Phool, Chauvind Ka Chand, Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam)

Bengali director Satyajit Ray (Apu Trilogy, Jalsaghar, Shatranj Ke Khilari, Agantuk) - perhaps the better known Indian director in the world

Raj Kapoor (Shree 420, Mera Naam Joker, Sangam, Bobby)

Bimal Roy (Devdas, Sujata, Bandini)

Mehboob Khan (Mother India, Son of India)

Its good to see those female directors not just doing some schmultzy chick flick (not that they are all bad) but its just good to see that they between them have produced alot of brilliant cinema.  I mean Mr and Mrs Iyer, Water, Earth, Bend it like Beckham and Monsoon wedding i didnt know were all directed by women!  I mean BLB and Monsoon wedding i did but didnt know M&MI and Water was done by a woman.

Also im still waiting Mehboob Khan's followup movies of Father of India and Daughter of India
