There's some discussion of her parents (Kamal Hassan and Sarika, who were both on their second marriages when they were together, IIRC), her upbringing and her own values.  Seems like a fun gal with her head on straight.  She's not had great chemistry with the couple of male leads I've seen her onscreen with; and I wonder how much of that is traceable to the real life leeriness about relationships that she mentions.

unfavorable review with spoilers: http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/entertainment/bollywood/news-interviews/Aurangzeb-TV-serial-sans-the-melodrama/articleshow/20104443.cms

The initial box office start has not been great, apparently.

Somehow Mr. Rochester is more an archetype for me than an individual character I feel for. And that's because so many novel heroes have been modeld after him since. and that's why I have such a clear picture of him in my head. And no adaptation seems to fit that one. Wink

But I think Toby Stephens is very handsome in his own very unique way. Cheesy At least I can't imagine Jane replying to his Mr. Rochesters question if she thinks him handsome with a firm and spontaneous negative. Tongue

Bharti looks almost like she could be her twin...she's rather stunning!

If you are referring to this picture http://nd03.jxs.cz/136/053/8a5e3ed6c3_89124474_o2.jpg that woman beside Madhuri is actually an actress Ashwini Bhawe, who too was a part of the shows.

This is Madhuri´s eldest sister  Wink

And these are all three sisters with their spouses

Toby Stephens is not good looking to my eyes so I think he made the best Rochester. Charlotte Gainsborough is the best Jane for me (pity that they were not together).

You know I wouldn't mind an unfortunate looking Rochester that much (since he is not really a character I care about) but don't give him shiny trousers and don't make them that tight.

Anyway this new adaptation is not worth it imho.

I think the tux may look better in person/normal conditions.  Flash photography and it probably don't mix.  Also, I understand there was rain at Cannes, which may make the tux look different than in the dry.

The one thing you will never see in an Indian movie is a kiss.

The role was originally written for Namitha.

I love those outfits of Vidya's! And it's nice to see modern designer saris that are not all going the "I can be even more revealing than a western gown" way. And although a sari can be a very sensuous garment, that's not all it is. I think it's a nice choice of hers to go the dignified route. .... and making Nicole Kidman look like a stick insect! Tongue
I just wish she would go for a more voluminous way to tie her hair as it makes her head look a bit small in comparison with the rather massive torso.

While I love the two outfits of the first day (the fusion saris) a lot and I think they underline her edgy but exotic beauty, I just cant' warm to the Dolce and Gabbana thing. Somehow the dimensions are such missfits: the prints are too heavy and make the skirt look enormous and the sadly lacking corsage just can't balance this up. I thik it looks like a stick doll in a lamp shade. No, sorry, feels completely unromantic and off key to me.  Undecided
